I’m Jordan, a Lead Developer at Zen Internet. Most days I split my time between hands-on development, architecture decisions, team vision, mentoring and helping the people around me do their best work.

Most of what I enjoy sits at the practical end of engineering. I’m very much still a developer though I also lead a small team of mid level and senior developers, and enjoy the people and team vision side as well.

I’ve come from being on a helpdesk - resetting passwords, providing desktop support, through to leading various software and hardware projects, managing and support servers, networks and more before jumping over to the software development side of technology. I made the transition after automating anything and everything I could and support developers until I become one myself and rose through ranks.

I’ve done a number of freelance work (mainly SMEs) and corporate work. Some quite large projects and some small. Most of what I share will be side projects but I can discuss some where permission was gained.

Outside of work I love anything related to playing music. I play electric and upright bass, as well as piano. Love a mix of everything but primarily anything Jazz related - particarly swing and bebop.
